Quote1 I can't help but think it woulda been different if I'd flown her. Can't help it. Quote2
-- Ben Grimm

An astronaut who worked with Reed Richards on his spaceship the Astraea. Wanting to add lateral motors to the craft, a process that would take years, Grimm rejected Reed's efforts to get him to take the craft up early. While the crew died, Grimm believed, even without the motors, he could have steered them to safety. Mourning their deaths, he retired to a cabin in the Rocky Mountains. He was a proud anti-Marxist, owning a cigarette lighter with "screw Communism" engraved in it, and often mocked the Russian space program.
