World War II
During World War II a number of super-human battles occurred in the city of Baltimore starting in 1940. In one instance, the South African criminal known as the Green Terror menaced the area, murdering young people in order to use their blood to prolong his life. He was chased out of the area by the detectives known as the Three Xs[1]. Later that year, Nazi agents attempted to sabotage the Baltimore Naval Base, but were thwarted by the Sub-Mariner[2].
