Early Life

Ava Ayala, alias White Tiger her powers came from the White Tiger Amulet, inherited from her brother, Hector Ayala, and later inherited it from her niece Angela del Toro. Her family were murdered by Gideon Mace.[3]

Avengers Academy

She joined the expanded Avengers Academy roster at the California-based Avengers Compound, as the first new full-time student since the Academy's inception.[4][5] Her initial interest in why Reptil wasn't a more active Hispanic role model[5] led to early tension between the two, with Reptil not seeing why he needed to be more than he was.[6]

With the other students she battled the Purifiers[7], Hybrid (Jimmy Marks)[3] who was banished from the school.[8] She attended many training sessions at the school [9] [10][11]

The Avengers brought the a group of mutant children to the Avengers Academy so that they will not keep them from interfering in the war. Hercules organized a sports competition between the Academy students and the mutants to ease tensions between the groups, but after a while the mutants choose to exclude themselves.[12][13][14]

The team went up against the Phoenix Five[15]Though they ultimately won, many of the students decided to leave the school.[16][17][18][19][20] The kids from the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters come over for a football game against those from Avengers Academy.[21][22] Ava and the other students search for their missing friends. [23]

Mighty Avengers

Ava joined the Heroes for Hire, along with Luke Cage and Victor Alvarez the new Power Man. They all started believing they were meant for something more and decided to create their own Avengers team.[24] Based off a hastag, they named themselves the Mighty Avengers.

White Tiger and Victor work with the Young Avengers to battle Mother the Interdimensional Parasite. [25] He later celebrates and the superhero club known as Thin Spandex Club.[26] [27][28]

Since joining, Ava and Victor have bonded tremendously, together they discovered two new abilities to fuse her White Tiger God based powers and his chi manipulation. The first being him able to move chi from people within their area into Ava creating a White Tiger made out of chi.[29] The tiger was so powerful that it was able to destroy Shuma Gorath.[30]

Feeling grateful that Victor enabled her to control that kind of power, she later re payed him by transferring some of her power to him. Being that Ava has a lot more chi than the average person, it gave Victor tremendous amounts of power, enough to take out a Cerberus or demonic three headed dog. Him and Ava called their combo the New York Tiger-Style Kung Fu."[31]

Victor helped White Tiger when she tried to kill Gideon Mace for the death of her parents, and was being possessed by the Tiger god that gave her powers.[32]With the intervention of the Mighty Avengers White Tiger was prevented from crossing the line and killing Mace.[33]

She next battled Dr. Positron, the Blue Marvel's brother.[34]

They next faced the Deathwalkers. [35][36] Which lead to the final confrontation with Deathwalker Prime.[37]

... [38]

In the All-New, All-Different Universe, Ava is part of the Avengers Idea Mechanics. She is a member of the team that fights Neohedron in Paris, teaming up with Squirrel Girl to take down three Gamma-powered Life-Minuses. As she and Squirrel Girl high-five, Neohedron hits them with a tail blast that turns them into Life-Minuses.

However, Mandy O'Connor (Earth-616) discovers that they could in fact revert the process with sonar waves, and Songbird uses her sonic rays to release Ava and Squirrel Girl, killing Neohedron.

Amulets of Power enhance her strength, speed, stamina, agility, dexterity, reflexes, reaction time, coordination, balance, endurance and gave her access to experience and abilities of a master martial artist.

Captain America (Sam Wilson) and Tony Stark considered her to be a Gamma Level Threat.[40]
