Synopsis for "The Price!"Edit

Needing money, Absorbing Man and Titania decide to seek the Daily Bugle's million-dollar bounty on Spider-Man, resulting from his beating of Norman Osborn (PPSSM #250, '97). Concerned about the price on her husband's head, MJ gets Peter to promise he won't become Spidey for a while. Daredevil seeks out Spidey to learn the truth of the Osborn attack. Emulating the Thunderbolts, Absorbing Man and Titania masquerade as new heroes "Lightning Bolt" and 'Thundergirl." Norman Osborn introduces them to the Bugle staff. At ESU, his spider-sense alerted, Peter becomes Spidey and encounters Daredevil. Osborn sics "Lightning Bolt" and 'Thundergirl" on them but reveals their thinly concealed identities to the police to avoid paying the reward. Disgusted by it all, Robbie refuses to participate. During the battle, the Bugle helicopter crashes, falls, and explodes on Titania. Spidey leaps in and saves her. Concerned only with Titania's well-being, the Absorbing Man surrenders to the police. Peter meets with MJ who is disappointed that he couldn't keep his promise.

This is a UK title that features reprints of American Spider-Man titles.
