The past history of Iron Man of Earth-776 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart up until shortly after the Hulk left the Avengers. In this reality the Avengers could not agree on how to deal with the Hulk after his departure from the Avengers, Iron Man being the only one wanting to go after him. With no agreement being made the group would disband. Still thinking the Hulk is a threat, Iron Man would get in touch with Rick Jones who would agree and join his cause.

When the Hulk would attack Rick, Iron Man would come to Rick's rescue fighting off the Hulk, however just barely and his armor would sustain serious damage. Later when the Hulk would team-up with the Sub-Mariner and issue a challenge to the Avengers (unaware that they had broken up) Iron Man would call back Giant-Man and the Wasp and reveal to them and Rick additional suits of Iron Man armor for them to wear giving them an edge against Hulk and Sub-Mariner. However, in training them how to use the armor, Iron Man would grow impatient with their inability to handle the armor and yell at them. His negative attitude would cause them to abandon him.

With no other chase, Iron Man would super-charge his armor and face Namor and the Hulk alone. He would have the upper-hand at first, but as his energy would train out he would be easily beaten into submission and Namor would believe him to be dead. When Rick would convince Pym and van Dyne to help Iron Man they would arrive and battle the Sub-Mariner and the Hulk. When Giant-Man would be injured in the attack, Iron Man would use the last of his power to revive him, dying in the process. The others would eventually defeat the Hulk and Sub-Mariner and learn that Iron Man was none other than Tony Stark and recognize that it was his sacrifice that allowed them to win the battle[1].

Powers

Tony Stark has no powers of his own but they are derived from his Iron Man Armor.

Abilities

Seemingly those of Anthony Stark of Earth-616.
