Benjamin Franklin (Earth-616) from S.H.I.E.L.D

The American Revolutionary War also known as the American War of Independence was the armed conflict between Great Britain and thirteen of its North American colonies, which had declared themselves the independent United States of America.

Events[]

Gideon stoked the flames of war causing the revolutionary War as part of the Externals machinations plan.[1]

Captain America (Steve Rogers) was transported back in to Philadelphia in the 1770's. where he meets Benjamin Franklin, who designed the American flag after Captain America's Uniform.[2]

Captain Steven Rogers was a Revolutionary soldier who acted as the costumed Captain America of his era. He fought alongside Wallace Worthington and Ulysses Bloodstone.While set to meet with Wallace, he found their house ablaze. He rescued a dying Wallace and his wife Elizabeth, learning the Hellfire Club was responsible. When Sir William Taurey (William Taurey's ancestor) tried to warn the British army of George Washington's approach, Rogers dueled and killed him[3].

George Washington was out riding in the woods, but was startled by a bright flash of light signaling the arrival of Willy Lumpkin, a mailman from the modern era. This led to Washington being captured by British troops and threatened to alter history. History was preserved when Mister Fantastic and Human Torch of the modern era's Fantastic Four traveled back in time and helped free Washington, insuring the United States won its independence.[4]

In the 1770's, the Egyptian god Khonshu recruited a Moon Knight during the war to serve as his avatar in the Earthly realm. In 1776, in the city of Boston he was attacked by the time travelling Kang the Conqueror when he came to the past looking for the magical artifacts of Khonshu.[5]

On July 2 of the same year, the Continental Congress formally voted for independence, and issued its Declaration on July 4. The Founding Fathers as they would become known included; George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin and many others. These men, together with several other key players of their time, structured the democratic government of the American Republic.[6]

Also in 1776, a group of Skrull subversives came to the planet Earth during a period of time in which the United States of America was seeking its independence from British rule. A Skrull spy was sent to pose as Thomas Jefferson to ensure passages about slavery remained in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. The intent was that if the human race was accustomed to slavery, then it would be easier for the Skrulls to enslave them. However this plan was thwarted by the Fantastic Four, heroes from the 21st Century, who had traveled back in time to this era to locate Chrono-Anchor that was lost in this era. Their leader Reed Richards uncovered the Skrulls, and used hypnosis to make them believe they were cows.[6]

Sir William the "Black Knight" served in the British Army in the colonies. [7]

In 1781, during the the Battle of York Town a sea campaign that entrapped a battalion of the British Army on Yorktown, Virginia, and forced its surrender. The immortal Bloodscream took part in the campaign.[8]

In 1783, one of the final battles of the war took place on the land that would one day be the Ravencroft Institute. It was during the battle that the original Captain America was killed. [9]

Deadpool went back to Germantown during 1777, but his plans got interrupted when Cable and his X-Force team showed up after being hired by Dr. Francis Talbot to keep Deadpool from changing key moments in history. Deadpool became distracted by Cable after he tried to talk to him, but this was only a ploy so X-Force could move in and take the mercenary out.[10]
