Synopsis for "Siege"Edit

Peter appears to die (SM #71, '96) but actually regains his powers (PPSSM #237, '96), although they cut in and out. As Onslaught uses the Sentinels to seize the city, one senses Peter's powers and pursues him. Meanwhile, a Sentinel attacks the Daily Bugle building and Ben leads the Daily Grind crew into the basement, then joins the fight as Spider-Man. As Peter eludes the Sentinel, his powers give out. However, the Sentinel is uninterested in powerless humans and leaves him alone. Meanwhile, J. Jonah Jameson rallies his troops, determined to get the story out in the next edition of the Bugle even as the new Green Goblin fends off the Bugle-attacking Sentinel. Spidey stops some looters, then defeats a Sentinel by tearing its head apart. With one down, Spidey declares that "the rest of those metal-headed meatballs had better watch out!"
