Appearing in "On Razored Wings"Edit
- New York City
Synopsis for "On Razored Wings"Edit
Spider-Man fights the new improved Spider-Slayers from Alistair Smythe in Part One of "Invasion of the Spider-Slayers." Spider-Man is attacked by a large killer robot in the beginning, and he struggles with how to handle it. As a pedestrian (a construction worker with a jackhammer) attempts to render Spider-Man aid, and then comes under attack himself, Spider-Man rallies and rips the robot's head off. During the fight, and unbeknownst to Spider-Man, tiny robotic spiders, perched on the light poles and walls, are recording and broadcasting to an undisclosed location, the details of the fight.
Later, Spider-Man returns home to find Felicia Hardy, AKA the Black Cat, waiting for him. They discuss the discovery of Peter's parents, alive and well. After this, Peter goes out for a night on the town with his parents and Mary Jane. A giant robot, in the form of a vicious bird of prey, attacks a group of pedestrians. Peter quickly changes into Spider-Man and a fight ensues. Again, our hero is unable to succeed against the robot initially, only holding his own. However, as the robot threatens his family and other civilians, Spider-Man is able to rally once again and demolish the threat.
As the dust settles, Spider-Man ponders who could benefit from these attacks, and he wonders who is behind these technological threats.
