Alan McKenzie worked as a writer and editor (and for a time, Editor-in-Chief) for Marvel UK in the 1980's, contributing to numerous titles including Doctor Who, Savage Action, Marvel Super-Heroes and Starburst. Among his writing work were several Doctor Who strips and Night Raven text stories written under the name 'Maxwell Stockbridge'. He later went to work or IPC Magazines, writing several strips for 2000AD and becoming the title's editor from 1987-1994.
