Centaurian Dictionary

This dictionary and lexique list some terms used in Centaurian language, or terms and expressions in English or other languages but used by the Centaurian, or already translated in English or other languages.

A

• Akuun: "One-without-faith". It is taught to the Habaktu that all Akuun must die. The Akuun dwell in Akuunos, on Centauri-IV.
• Anthos: "Heaven" (possibly also known as the "unseen world"), "Peace". Anthos is also the Patron God of the Centaurians.

B

• Bhkta: "The moment when one becomes aware of an unavoidable danger". It is period in "slow motion" before engaging combat. The way to deliver the Koro is decided during that period. Also possibly a mild clairvoyance common to all Centaurians.

C

• Circle of Life: Circle of reproduction and life of the Centaurians, their "holy path".

H

• Habaktu: "Warrior holy man", or "Holy Man",. Also named as "Anthosian priest".
• Hakta: "Ordeal of manhood" ritual, sacred ceremony.

K

• Kala: "Tribe".
• Kavkov: "Demon" (used to designate Centaurian mutant Photon).
• Khacta: "Dagger" or "Ceremonial dagger".
• Kikahee: "Cave dwellers". Possibly the name of a tribe.
• Koro: "Killing blow". The way to deliver it is decided during the Bhkta.
• Kospah: Earrings.

S

• Senkah: Ceremonial outfit worn by Habaktu.

T

• Tahlei: "Crest". The red crest (often confused for a fin) present of the head and back of the Centaurians, composed of compressed hair follicles, and seemingly with a role in their sexuality.

U

• Unseen world: Presumably the afterworld of Centaurians (see "Anthos").

Y

• Yaka: "Trillium" or "Trillite". "Living metal" (metallic element exclusive to Centauri-IV), Also spelled Yakka and Yucca.
