History
After Captain America was lambasted by the media for decapitating the zombie Harry Truman after the presidents were brought back from death by a necromancer, Maria Hill tasked Agent Gorman to solve the issue without using S.H.I.E.L.D. agents or the Avengers to avoid any negative press. Gorman delegated the assignment to his subordinate, Agent Preston, whose solution was to hire Deadpool to dispose of the undead presidents.[1] However, Gorman was critical of the idea.[2]
Deadpool was able to stop the presidential zombie invasion, but he wasn't able to prevent the undead George Washington from killing Agent Preston. Enraged over her death, Gorman refused to pay Deadpool and threatened he would bring the full force of S.H.I.E.L.D. upon him. Likewise, Deadpool swore that he would get revenge on Gorman for not paying him.[3]
Gorman later used a LMD of Agent Preston in order to sell S.H.I.E.L.D. tech and drugs, but as soon as he discovered Agent Preston was alive inside Deadpool's mind, he put a price on Wade Wilson's head.[4]
Gorman went to attend a reunion with U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., one of his buyers, but was tracked down by Phil Coulson, Agent Adsit, and Deadpool, who had discovered Gordon was a traitor.[5]
Deadpool annihilated the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. troops in their own helicarrier, and finally got to Gorman, who promised Deadpool to get him his money. Gorman was instead shot in his abdomen by Deadpool, and fell from the aircraft.[6] However, Gorman survived and went on the run.[7]
Gorman attempted to sabotage the process which transferred Preston's mind from Deadpool to an LMD, but failed.[8] Later that day, when Deadpool fought Crossbones, Gorman attempted to kill Wilson, but Crossbones and Deadpool cooperated to kill him by throwing him into a garbage truck which compressed him to death.[7]Attributes
