Zofia was the first wife of Count Dracula, a Hungarian noblewoman, her marriage arranged by Dracula's father. Although Dracula absolutely despised Zofia, they had a child together named Lilith, the fact that he was given a female heir infuriated Dracula even more. Dracula would routinely abused Zophia mentally and physically as well as have affairs with many women.
Eventually, Dracula's treatment of Zophia would worsen to the point where he could not even bare to stand her. One year after their marriage, he would strip her of her royal title and demand that she leave the castle with Lilith. Distraught, Zophia would turn Lilith over to a gypsy woman named Gretchen to raise. With her daughter cared for, Zophia would then commit suicide in grief over her life situation.
Zofia would be survived by Lilith, who would in later years be turned into a vampire even more powerful than Dracula (and without the same weaknesses and limitations of her father) by Gretchen as a tool of revenge against the cruel vampire king. Over the centuries, Lilith would often plague her father in revenge for his treatment of her mother those many centuries ago.
