History

If one of us succeeds, we all succeed.

After returning from death, Thanos decided to give twelve different people ,who had ambitions to rule the world, special suits which gives super-powers and making John King, as Cancer, their leader.

Their mission was to steal numerous powerful items, to which Thanos wanted to take out from Earth in order to bring balance to our planet and the entire cosmos.

When the Avengers prevented Zodiac from stealing an Ultimate Nullifier, the team followed them to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier in order to take the weapon to them. When Iron Man used a sonic disruptor to shut down their special costumes and leave them powerless, Thanos appeared with the objective to kill the Avengers for interfering in his plan.

Thanos re-powered them, and after he got the Cosmic Cube escaped, possibly along the Zodiac, except Cancer, who was later interrogated by the Avengers.
