The past history of Imperial Minister Zarek of Earth-79102 would mirror that of his Earth-616 counterpart until Mar-Vell's mission to Earth. In this reality, Colonel Yon-Rogg would be ordered arrested by Ronan the Accuser. In the course of events, Yon-Rogg would seemingly perish, and Zarek would contact Captain Mar-Vell personally and promote him to the rank of Colonel, ordering him to continue his mission to monitor the Earth.
