Young Avengers Vol 1 12
Redirected from Young Avengers 12
Sir, with all due respect...the minute Eli's back on his feet, he'll be chasing down bad guys, powers or no powers. That's just who he is. It's who we all are. The same as you. I know you and Iron Man don't approve of us, but I can't help thinking...if you guys had supported us--if you had taken the time to train us--maybe Eli wouldn't be in surgery right now. Maybe Billy's parents would still have a place to live, and Teddy's mom would still be alive. That's how it feels, anyways. So if you really want to protect us...you'll accept us.

Synopsis for "Family Matters (Part 4 of 4)"Edit
The New Avengers and Young Avengers join forces and attack. They manage to hold off the Kree and Skrulls long enough for Hulkling to come up with a plan. The Kree and Skrulls agree to split a year's time with Teddy before allowing him to make his ultimate choice and depart. However, Teddy had switched places with the Super-Skrull and remained behind.
The Young Avengers, Captain America and Jessica Jones rush to the hospital, where Eli has received a blood transfusion from his grandfather Isaiah. Then, on the ground floor, Cap expresses his wish that after what has happened to Eli, the other Young Avengers would return to their normal lives. Kate Bishop steps in, stating that like it or not, Eli will be out on the streets fighting crime. If the Avengers had trained them in the first place, then none of this Kree-Skrull fiasco would have happened. If they really want to protect them, they must accept them.
Sometime later, the Young Avengers are repairing the ruins of Avengers Mansion, restoring all the statues, including adding a statue of the second Ant-Man. Eli is just getting use to his superpowers of strength and hearing. Jones presents Kate with Hawkeye's bow and arrows and a note from Cap to tell her that she may call herself Hawkeye.
The Young Avengers gather to hold a memorial for Teddy's mom, as they scattered her ashes to the wind. Then suddenly, there is an explosion which the Vision describes as hyperkinetic. Next thing they know, Tommy, now known as Speed, arrives and tells them that the Zodiac has taken over the UN and the Young Avengers spring into action and their next adventure...
NotesEdit
- Zodiac is never seen on panel, but according to Speed, they consisted of a guy wit crab claws, a guy with a bull head and a pair of attractive female twins. These individuals correspond with the Zodiac signs Cancer, Taurus and Gemini.
TriviaEdit
- Kate Bishop officially adopts the codename Hawkeye.
- Tommy Shepherd adopts the codename of Speed.
- Eli Bradley finally acquires Super Soldier powers because of an actual blood transfusion from his grandfather
