The Xavier Protocols are a set of doomsday plans created by Charles Xavier to defeat the most powerful mutants, if they become a threat to the world. Protocols were stored in an encrypted form in the Xavier Institute and in Moira MacTaggert's Mutant Research Center on the Muir Island. Each Protocol is activated by the presence of a different combination of X-Men.
Protocols were first used after Onslaught grew too powerful.
