Wolverine & the X-Men Vol 1 1 review by Johnnybravo44
I'm gonna be shamefully honest. I did not buy this issue, but did read it intentively (is that a word?) at the shop.

Added by GrnMarvl14They took the whole Toad the Janitor thing a bit too far. I don't get it..why did he do that exactly? It jsut doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. What was up with the Brood student? The idea of alien mutants realllllly annoys me, like with all of those Skrull mutants from the 90s or whatever.. Hmph. Fiz.. And why was Lockheed with Kid Omega? And why the hell was Doop even there??
So I was a huge fan of the New X-Men series (not Young X-Men, mind you), but this seems like a dissapointment in the making. One of my favorite 'students', Surge, isn't even there for starters. I'm just hard to please, but it wasn't too bad. I'm just not too fond of the whole school setting anymore. I see absolutely no reason why it should go back. Guess I'm with Cyclops.
But mainly, Wolverine is too overrated. He's all over the place, and now he thinks he can run a school? Be serious. Nice to see Glob Herman, but oh wait, he's still basically a background guy. And Kid Omega's cool and all, but he shouldn't be a big villain like they say he's going to be. I see him as a one time villain every now and then. Not like how he is..
Anyways, my final rating is a 3 out of 5. It was not horrible, just nothing stood out as so good. I'm really not to big a fan of Bachalo's art either, though I do know I wouldn't be able to do any better.. Still, a decent enough 1st issue, and if you're an X-Men fan and a Wolverine fan, it's worth getting. Unfortunately, I am not too big a Wolverine fan..
