I was an avid collector of Marvel Comics in the 80s and early 90s. I have a large collection, and burned up a lot of my youth reading and rereading it. Editing this wiki is about all those memories are good for.

I'm very lucky in that my fiancé is also a big Marvel fan. Not only is she brilliant, beautiful, and tolerant of my childish obsessions, she is also a mutant. Her powers and skills shall remain undisclosed to protect her true identity.

My favorite Marvel superhero is Victor Von Doom. From his benevolent administration of a fiercley independent nation, his unflagging dedication to enviornmental protection, and his extraordinary magnanimity towards the opressed Roma minority, there really can't be enough good things said about him. All hail Doom!

My least favorite character is the supervillan known as Cyclops. A closeted homosexual with a disturbing fetish for old, wheelchair-bound men, Scott's sublimated sexuality presents itself as an arrogant, athoritarian personality. How Jean can stand to be his "beard" I'll never fathom. I guess once you've experienced cosmic consciousness the banality of human pretense no longer annoys you. Seriously though. What an ass.
