History

Years after the formal end of the Second Congo War, the United Nations sent peacekeeping units to North Kivu to pacify the Congolese rebels from terrorizing innocent lives.

Some time after the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., the United Nations were attacked by Hydra agents (posing as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents) while Glenn Talbot was giving a speech.Sunil Bakshi was later held accountable for the attack.

In 2016, the United Nations passed the Sokovia Accords to keep enhanced individuals such as the Avengers and the Inhumans under government supervision.

King T'Chaka gave a speech during a conference with the United Nations in Vienna to finalize the Sokovia Accords. During the conference, T'Chaka was killed in a bombing seemingly caused by Bucky Barnes. However, it was later revealed to have been caused by Helmut Zemo as part of his plan to tear the Avengers apart.
