Synopsis for "'Twas the Night Before Christmas..."
X-Men Banshee and Storm distract the guards at Moses' base and disarm their scanners while Kurt sneaks in to give the other X-Men a target to home in on while tunneling under the sea floor. (Truly... don't ask). They get ambushed by Moses after breaking into the base. Moses beats them up a bit, then sends his Mandroid Mk. IIs to deal with them. Although the Mandroids get trashed by the X-men, Moses is making good his threat to cause another earthquake. So Banshee sets up a counter-harmonic about the island with his sonic scream, reflecting Moses' quake back on him. The X-Men escape in the nick of time, and the island explodes. However, Banshee's performance damages his voice. On Muir Island, Jean Grey is returning from a vacation in Greece. However, things aren't peaceful on the island, as Angus MacWhirter mysteriously discovers.
Notes
- Angus MacWhirter has, of course, just become host to Proteus, in our first hint that something isn't right on Muir Island.
- This issue is reprinted in many other comics and books, see references for more info.[1]
