Synopsis for "The Submergence of Japan"

The X-Men arrive in Japan aboard the ship, "Jinguchi Maru"[3]. They find that the city Agarashima is ablaze by a great firestorm caused by an unnatural earthquake. They enter the city and search for Sunfire at his family estate. Meanwhile, Professor X and Lilandra orbit the Earth and decide to leave Earth since the X-Men are believed to be dead[4].

The X-Men sneak into the Yoshida estate. There they encounter Sunfire and Misty Knight. They are quickly enlisted to help quell the firestorm by the Japanese Prime Minister. Sunfire disagrees but Colleen Wing advocates their help. In the garden, Wolverine meets Mariko Yashida[5]. As the two talk, there is a sudden earthquake. Wolverine saves Mariko and the other X-Men gather everyone outside the estate. The group is suddenly attacked by a pair of Mandroids. They quickly take out Sunfire and toss Colossus far into the streets. Storm freezes the Mandroid and Banshee with Cyclops take care of the second. Colossus, in the meanwhile, stops the truck that held the Mandroids from escaping into the city. As the X-Men recover, a holographic image of Moses Magnum appears and threatens to sink Japan in 24 hours if the Prime Minister does not declare Moses Magnum the ruler of Japan.
