Theodore Haskell was New York City's Deputy Mayor for Operations, whom J. Jonah Jameson held in that role from the previous administration. When Haskell brought up the question of the security of the "shadow" command center in the event of a terrorist attack, Jameson was thrilled by calling Haskell genius then quickly asking him who he was. At Haskell's reply which came, reminding Jameson that he had confirmed him in that role himself, Jameson complimented himself on another brilliant executive stratagem on his part.[1]
