Question[]

As someone comparitively new to Marvel Comics (I have about nine 2010 issues under my belt), should I delve into Fear Itself? Or will I just get bogged down with continuity I don't understand? Any advice appreciated. Sorryaboutthatchief 09:46, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

The main Fear Itself title isn't too bad, in terms of continuity. The main villain, the Serpent, is new, so there aren't decades of back reading to be done on him (though, if you want to read more about him, Mighty Thor #7 delves into where he came from, and serves as a prologue to his existence). And the event itself doesn't really tie into past events (Asgard was destroyed in Siege. That's basically the only thing you'd need to know, assuming you know James "Bucky" Barnes is Captain America at the start of the event). Really, it's a nice stand-alone series without a lot of need-to-know stuff, but there's plenty of back reading you can do if you feel you need a deeper understanding (but, again, it's nowhere near absolutely necessary). It's a fairly good series designed to pick up fans of the Thor/Captain America films. And there are plenty of tie-ins if you want to delve deeper into the events, with most of the villains having larger roles in those issues.
