S.H.I.E.L.D. was formed by Nick Fury to protect the world from various threats and keep peace and order.

This organization is composed of well-trained men and women all around the globe. S.H.I.E.L.D. has the most advanced weapons and technology through Stark International until its CEO, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, pulled off his company from weapons manufacturing business, which forced Fury to reverse-engineer their technology and equipment.
