They were interrupted when a seemingly drunk man wandered inside and asked for his fortune to be told, but Johnny threw him out. Afterwards, the fortune teller told Johnny that he was going to murder Bill and kill himself by drowning out of remorse, afterwards.

Suddenly, Bill appeared and the "drunk man" was actually a police officer named O'Leary who declared that they could arrest the fortune teller, as she had a marked roll of money in her blouse. Johnny was still surprised how the fortune teller knew that he had wanted to kill Bill.
