Very little is known about the mysterious woman called Sorrow. A few years ago, she was found as a mute patient at the Rosewell Sanitarium in Charles, Massachusetts. She met a fellow patient named Eric Simon Payne who had been suffering from a psychotic break due in no small part to the fact that his soul had been imprinted with a splintered fragment of the Nexus of All Realities. Sorrow formed an empathic bond with Eric and helped him to exorcise his own personal demons. Like Payne, Sorrow likewise possessed a portion of the shattered Nexus. It is possible that this connection to the Nexus was why she was able to develop spiritual connections to those around her.
