History

The Serpent Squad attacked Project Pegasus in taking the Serpent Crown relic that was kept there. However, they were defeated by the Fantastic Four.

Six months after the events of Ultimatum, the Squad returned to Project Pegasus and easily defeated the facility's guards unimpeded. Upon finding the Serpent Crown, they are unexpectedly confronted by Spider-Man, the Human Torch, Iceman, and Rick Jones, who actually came to the Project to see the Watcher that was previously kept there at Rick's behest. Both parties immediately attacked each other, but the Serpent Squad were again eventually defeated and arrested by arriving soldiers led by Wendell Vaughn.^[1]
