HistoryEdit

Years ago, the Inhuman known as Maximus the Mad took control of the Inhuman community at the Great Refuge, sending the reigning royal family into exile. Unable to apprehend them, he appointed one of his officers, the Seeker, with the task of tracking them down, and returning them home. Due to the aid of the canine teleporter Lockjaw, tracking the rogue Inhumans proved difficult. The Seeker spent many years scouting the globe in search of them. It wasn’t until Medusa began publicly appearing as a member of the Frightful Four that the Seeker was able to narrow his search to the Eastern United States.

The Seeker erected a private outpost in Midtown Manhattan and used his advanced technology to locate the Inhumans. Fortunately for the Seeker, the Inhumans were forced to expose themselves when they came into a violent encounter with the Fantastic Four. During the fight, Triton attempted to escape by diving into the River, and the Seeker captured him.

The Seeker later went to the Fantastic Four's headquarters at the Baxter Building. They discovered the sedated artificial life form known as the Dragon Man in one of Reed's laboratories. The Seeker mistakenly believed that the Dragon Man was an inhuman and brought it back to his outpost for examination[1]. Upon discovering the truth, he offered to return the beast to the Fantastic Four.

The Inhumans meanwhile, decided to return to the Great Refuge of their own volition. Through sheer intimidation, Black Bolt convinced Maximus to relinquish the royal crown of leadership[2]. When the Seeker returned to the Great Refuge, he cowardly begged Lord Black Bolt's forgiveness, citing that he was only performing his assigned duties[3].
