History

The large robot created to resemble a scorpion was created by Alistaire Smythe to destroy Spider-Man. He deployed it along with two other slayers. Spider-Man and Black Cat fought the slayers and defeated them all by electrocuting them with a live power wire.

Alternate Realities

Spider-Man (1994 animated series) (Earth-92131)

Alistair Smythe created the scorpion-like Spider Slayer to destroy Spider-Man. He also sent it after Norman Osborn, who he felt was partly responsible for his father's demise. As the Scorpion Spider Slayer attacked Oscorp, it easily defeated Osborn's security including the Helidrones. It later combined with the Black Widow and Tarantula Spider-Slayers, but Spider-Man managed to defeat them.
