Sarah was a loving wife and mother. When she died under mysterious and apparently mystical circumstances, it led her husband Hiram to blame his son Obadiah's girlfriend for her death. Hiram had Abigail arrested for witchcraft and murder, but she escaped with Obadiah. There was never any conclusive proof that Abigail killed Sarah.
