History

The past history of Roberto da Costa mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart. In recent history on Earth-9997, Sunspot was one of the members of X-Force to be put under the control of the Skull. Sunspot would be present in many of the Skull's raids across America, and would be present during the Skull's battle against Captain America and his collation of super-heroes. Sunspot would be freed from the Skull's control following the death of the Skull, however his current whereabouts and present activities following the Skull's defeat remain unrevealed.
