History

The Revengers were the Avengers of the Cancerverse after being corrupted by Lord Mar-Vell and turned into servants of the Many-Angled Ones.[1]

When an opening between the Cancerverse and Earth-616 was created by a T-Bomb,[2] Mar-Vell led an invasion to expand the Cancerverse for the Many-Angled Ones, fighting off whoever entered his reality to halt the invasion at its source alongside the Revengers. However, he made the mistake of killing Thanos, Earth-616's Avatar of Death, thus allowing Earth-616's Death to enter the Cancerverse and strike down all of its inhabitants.[3]

Due to Earth-616's Death not applying to the Cancerverse, the Revengers were brought back to life and tried to use a Cosmic Cube in possession of Star-Lord, who stayed in the Cancerverse with Nova (Rich Rider) and Drax the Destroyer to prevent Thanos from returning to their universe, to invade Earth-616 again, but Thanos was able to seize it from them.[4]

After Rider used the Cosmic Cube to become a portal and send Drax, Star-Lord, and Thanos back home,[5] the Revengers killed him time and time again, until he sacrificed the entire Nova Force and the Xandarian Worldmind to power the Cosmic Cube and return home. Abandoned, the Xandarian Worldmind adapted to its surroundings by becoming one with it. Some time later, when Rider returned to the Cancerverse to get rid of its infection, the Xandarian Worldmind ordered the Revengers to attack him, but he managed to escape with the help of fellow Nova Sam Alexander.[6]

Later, led by Earth-616's Void, who was posing as the Sentry, the Revengers invaded the Negative Zone[7] and found Nova again. They tried to infect him again, but he managed to escape them once more.[8]
