Added by Copycat989Before joining the Guardians, she lived on Haven, which was ruled by a band of mutants led by the murderous descendant of Wolverine, Rancor. She stows away in the Guardians ship as an insect, only to be discovered by Yondu. Nikki was suspicious of her from the start, believed later to be due to Nikki's hatred of reptilians, although Replica kept the secret she was a Skrull until faced with the Kree member of Force, Eighty-five. In order to save the lives of the Guardians, Replica gave herself as a playmate to her god, Protégé, the child-like ruler of the Universal Church of Truth. Nikki later expresses concern over Replica.
Replica came into conflict with Protégé's other companion, a demonic-looking woman named Malevolence, who was later revealed to be the daughter of Mephisto. Replica receives a call for aid from her old friend Martinex, as his planet is being torn asunder by multiple tragedies. She dodges the attentions of Protégé and Malevolence to answer this call, though ultimately Protégé lets her go. Despite this, she still must be rescued from a Universal Church ship by Firelord. Despite not being trusted by him, they team up to rescue many innocent people in danger on Martinex' planet. The two ultimately team up with many other powerful beings, including Hollywood in order to form the Galactic Guardians.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Powers
- Skrull Shape-Shifting: Like other Skrulls, Replica is a shape-shifter. She can mentally cause the unstable molecules that comprise her body to become pliant, enabling her to assume other forms through muscular expansion and contraction. Once a new shape has been assumed, it takes a conscious act of will to assume another form or revert to natural. Hence, Skrulls do not spontaneously lose their assumed form when asleep or unconscious. Skrulls in altered form will, however, revert to their original forms at the moment of death.
Abilities
- Skrull Military Training: Replica is a trained Skrull soldier.
- Aviation: Replica is trained in the use of the advanced warp-drive starships of the Skrull-military.
- Unarmed Combat: Replica is trained in the unarmed combat of the Skrull-military, he is also quite experienced.
- Marksmanship: Replica is trained in the use of the ranged energy-weaponry of the Skrull-military.
Weaknesses
- Skrull Shape-Shifting: Skrulls only take on the appearance of an object or person and none of that object or person’s characteristics. There is a limit to the size of the object or person a Skrull can imitate. The average Skrull cannot distend his or her mass any more than 1.5 times as large a volume as his or her original volume, nor can he or she contract his or her mass any more than 0.75 a volume as his or her original.
