The past history of Gambit of Earth-21993 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart up until the point shortly after he first teamed up with Storm. He would be among the mutants gathered by Charles Xavier following his escape from Skrull captivity. He would also join the side of the X-Men when a fight would break out between the X-Men and the New Mutants over Cable's stewardship of the team. The battle would end with the Mutants escaping. He would also be present at Xavier's funeral, and when the X-Men divided up into two camps.[1]
His fate following the split up of the X-Men remains unrevealed.
