HistoryEdit

Reed was recruited by the military to maintain and improve Project: Iron Man, including looking after Steve Rogers. Eventually Steve asked Reed to pursue his own dream of building a ship that could run on cosmic rays. He did.

A saboteur set off a bomb on his ship, sending them crashing to Earth before ever reaching space, and killing Ben, Sue, and Johnny while only cruelly taking Reed's left eye.

After their funerals, he was approached by a member of SHIELD, and took a job with them to disappear from his normal life. He worked his way up the ranks through the years, and eventually became Director of SHIELD, turning it into the best anti-terrorism organization on the planet. He appointed special talent to work with him, including Doctor Stephen Strange, Doctor Bruce Banner (The Spider-Man), and Tony Stark.
