HistoryEdit

Phil Fox was a somewhat disreputable reporter for the Daily Bugle who had a particular interest in the one of New York's newest heroes: Luke Cage. Fox eventually uncovered information on Cage that was not known to the public. Fox got drunk and told Flea about Noah Burstein's prison experiments which gave Cage his super powers. This information gave Flea leverage to send Luke Cage back to jail. Fox was later murdered.

In the aftermath of Phil Fox's death, Big Ben witnessed Mrs. Jenks' confession to the murder of the reporter, even though she didn't kill him. Fox's murderer was actually Billy Bob Rackham. Mrs. Jenks confessed just before she died to clear Luke Cage's then girlfriend, Claire Temple of the charges.
