Nicholas Fury (Earth-58163)
Contents |
HistoryEdit
Fury fought behind the Invaders and Captain America during World War II. He was gravely injured, and treated by Professor Berthold Sternberg, who injected him with the infinity formula. He went home a war hero, and was invited to join S.H.I.E.L.D., where he eventually became director. Nick was in this position during Magneto's rise to power, and the subsequent Mutant-Human War. As S.H.I.E.L.D. fell, so did Nick, he became wanted for crimes against mutantkind, and went underground. It is rumored that Fury is the leader of the Human resistance.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Powers
Seemingly those of Nicholas Fury (Earth-616)#Powers.
NotesEdit
During the House of M arc (which introduced Earth-58163 into the Marvel canon), another Nick Fury existed as well, in charge of training S.H.I.E.L.D. recruits (among them, Wolverine). A notable difference from the mainstream version of Fury is that this one still had both eyes, and thus, did not wear an eyepatch. It was later revealed that this Nick Fury was, in fact, Mystique, as she confessed to Sebastian Shaw. Possibly, she did so to try and shake off Logan's blues, as he was going through a hard time with himself by then (shortly before Wolverine realized that the world around him was fabricated by the Scarlet Witch).
