History
20th Century
In 1947, Captain America and Bucky were invited to be guests of a Mardi Gras parade, where they prevented the theft of a diamond necklace worn by the parade queen[1].
In 1949, in her capacity as editor of Beauty Magazine, the Olympian love goddess Venus participated in a Mardi Gras parade. The festivities were interrupted when Loki came to Earth to try and spread his evil. To this end, he trapped Venus in Hades while he possessed the body of her employer Whitney Hammond. Venus freed herself and banished Loki back to Hades[2].
Modern Age
Following the most recent Ragnarok cycle of Asgard, Heimdall found himself resurrected as a mortal named Ezra in New Orleans with no memory of his past life as a god. When Thor returned to life, he found Ezra assisting with the relief effort following a massive hurricane[3]. Thor restored Heimdall's memories and godly status before leaving New Orleans[4].
Selene forced the mutant tracker Caliban to locate deceased mutants as part of her plot to ascend to godhood. To this end they located the remains of deceased mutant pre-cog Destiny and ressurected her in New Orleans[5].
