I am not Nate Grey - the boy who foolishly called himself a shaman, attempting to protect you from outside forces. No, in this age of ethic cleansings and suicide bombings, I know that the greatest threat to humanity's survival comes from humanity itself. And while I don't care if you blow yourselves to dust, I will not allow your actions to harm a single mutant.

This version of X-Man arrived in Pakistan and informed humanity that while he doesn't care if mankind is wiped out, he would not tolerate any harm coming to mutants. As X-Man turned to leave, the Pakistan army fired a shell at him. Nate froze the projectile in midair, and prepared to retaliate.
