Rod, you are back to duplicating the image template. I thought that below we had gotten past this as you had indicated that you had tried 'add a photo' and did not have the duplication problem. Have you stopped using 'add a photo'? Are you still using 'add a photo' and now the second template is being inserted into the file for another reason? I would really like to resolve this.
Huh. I had no idea that was happening. Sorry. I added the photo directly into the redlink from the infobox; that's worked for me before. Wonder why it didn't this time?
I see you have posted another image with a duped template. I am trying to resolve this with you. If you continue not to respond, I will consider a block as I do not enjoy correcting them.
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I was doing it right. I didn't select a template from the pull-down menu as I thought that's what was causing it. Was it something else?
I honestly have no idea what you people are doing that double posts the image template. I've never had this problem just editing the file, pasting the image template, filling it out, and saving. You will have to check your posts to see if you are duping the template until you can figure out what you are doing that's causing it. Thank you for your reply.
For some reason, every time I try to upload something, it goes to "preview mode" first, and assigns an "experimental" template to the image. Could that be what's going on?
Are you using 'add a photo' or some other method? When I click 'add a photo' I just get a box that asks where the image is located and when I click upload, I don't get a 'preview mode'.
Hi Rod. You're doing your image uploads the same way Farlstendario and a couple of other users have been doing. It's great that you are filling out the image template but the way you are going about it saves two copies into the image file and all the time you spend filling out the image template is wasted because the system only recognizes the second mostly blank template.
There are two ways of dealing with this effectively:
1. Do what I do and just fill out the image template as I upload each file and save.
Or
2. Do what Farlstendario does and keep doing things the way that you have been doing, remembering to go into the file and delete the second copy of the image template.
Hey thanks for the fix up there with Iceman. While I have no idea what interview you speak of, Iceman does appear on page six (practically hidden like Famine and Ozymandias) of the issue in question. Thanks for making me look for him! :)
