Help WantedEdit

Hi, sorry to bother you but I have seen that you have made an edit about the Marvel Animated Universe. Since this wiki is pretty full already, we would like your help at thMarvel Animated Universe Wiki. We are a fairly young wiki and need alot of help. We have practically no articles and most of the ones we do have are stubs. it would mean alot to have you help us so please come here and edit!-Disneyvillainman 23:53, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Ads Edit

Hi Grn! Check this out, and leave your opinion. The more people that say they want it, the more likely we'll get it!  :)

Noticed Edit

GrnMarvl14,

I have noticed how much you have been doing on the database lately, especially your work with the cover art. I can't say thank you enough!!! Our comics/cover-art section desperately needs beefing up and I am glad you are helping out.

You seem to have gotten in the swing very quickly, even using our templates!

Soon, we are going to be upgrading the 'upload' page with dropdown lists so you can select 'Cover Art Image' or 'Character Image', etc, without having to type anything... This will help our uploaders a lot I think...

Do you think I could ask you to add {{Fairuse}} or {{GFDL}} in the 'Copyright Status' field (Most likely 'Fairuse' 99.9% of the time), until we finally implement our upgrades?
Only if you can remember though, it's not life or death ... he he he.

Again... Thank you for contributing... thousands of people from around the world thank you!

10,000! Edit

Congratulations (and thank you) GrnMarvl14!!

I just wanted to let you know that the page you created, Cage #1, is our 10,000th article! We all have come together to make this project a success and it wouldn't happen if it weren't for each and every contributor...

The Marvel Database Project thanks you!

--Jamie 19:02, 30 March 2006 (Eastern Standard Time)

Thank you! Edit

I know I thanked you already, but you are doing so much great work... I couldn't resist thanking you again!

If you are interested, here is a real-time count of how many edits you have made. You have made it all the way to #5 already! You are soon to pass my old administrator account (WikiSysop).

You efforts have made a big difference. Each day, our traffic grows and your work is being enjoyed by thousands of people around the world. (About 3000 different people per day, 21000 per week and nearly 90000 per month!)

We are all glad to have you and hope you will continue to be an integral part of our success!

Cheers,

Questions Edit

I would like to say hello first & also ask a question. I see that you are often adding pictures & I just got a new scanner but I am unable to put my pictures in a suitable format. Seeing that you have done this often and seem to be familiar with it, can you make any suggestions?

I have saved the files as jpeg but I don't think that they are "small" enough in size to load quickly on the site. This will be my first time to mess with uploading pics, so ANY suggestions are appreciated.

You can email me too @ m1shawhan@yahoo.com

Uploading images Edit

Thanks for the response though!

M1shawhan 11:03, 5 July 2006 (Eastern Daylight Time)

I just wanted to drop you a line to say I also responded to Matt on his usertalk page as well...

Interest in a new Wiki?Edit

Hye! I was wondering if you would be interested in a wiki I requested called Alternate Marvel, it is a Fanon wiki. You can create articles about made up superheroes or other characters that live in the Mavel Universe. You can also take already existing characters and give them new stories. Please tell me what you think of this idea and if you'll be interested in joining so it can be created. Darth JCS

Category: YearEdit

nice work on the new comics! But could you please list them under the dates that are printed inside the comics, and add the category of the year to them? Category:2007 for the new comics. See the discussion in Marvel Database talk:Comic Template. cheers, Tokus 20:40, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Again, please add this...

Updating Comic Template Edit

As always you are just doing a fantastic job!
Since you are working with it so much more than I am, I was wondering what do you think of the new comic template?
Does it seem relatively easy to use?
Do you think it looks nice?
Do the fancy categories it creates add value, in your opinion?
Cheers!
--Jamie 03:36, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I love the comic template. I'm someone who's not good at improvising when it comes to stuff like this, so having something that's extremely user-friendly is nice to have. And, yeah, I think it looks great. The sidebar with the creative details and issue links is a nice thing to have. Allows for a quick once-over of the creators and easy linking to the next issue in the series. And I'm someone who loves to see compiled lists (appearance lists are something I've always loved to see) so the categories are a great thing to have (aside from cleaning up what I've done in the past, it's the main reason I'm going back through with the new template).
-- GrnMarvl14 15:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
I am so glad to hear that!
We like to hear its making people's lives easier. :)

User:JWGucciEnvy Edit

What is up with User:JWGucciEnvy editing your page?
Just curious if you knew...
--Jamie 01:26, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Wasn't aware that he was. Appears he's undone whatever he did, though. Honestly, I never check my user page. Only edited it for the first time because I noticed someone else had put a lot of weird/random stuff on it (like they were doing their own user page, but were using mine). Thanks for the heads up, though. Guess I'll mark my user page as one to watch, so I can keep a better eye on it.
--GrnMarvl14 01:34, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
That's totally what it looked like...
Like he was editing your user page, as his own.
Oh well, looks like he figured it out. ;)
Cheers!
--Jamie 01:38, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Glad I wasn't the only one questioning this...--M1shawhan 02:12, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Newbs, will be newbs. :)
--Jamie 02:50, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Template FieldsEdit

Argh...I didn't even think about that when we created the templates. We have to have some sort of "template" error category tell us when it is not used right and causing things not to show. --M1shawhan 16:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Minor:T'Challa (Earth-355)Edit

Thanks for fixing that, the picture looks great, and I guessed on how he died based on the synopsees for Avengers 355 and beyond. It's way more interresting the real way he died!--Peteparker 19:35, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Textless CoversEdit

Hey Brad! I love it that you've started uploading textless covers too. Good Game! Copycat989 18:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Terror Edit

Does Terror only exist in the shadowverse? I remember him teaming up with other marvel heroes like Arana in an alternate universe. Plus, he has his new series out now, and doesn't that take place in the regular 616 universe? (I obviously don't know for sure).--Peteparker 02:05, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Terror's such a complicated character. He was originally created for the Shadowline stuff in Epic. After that ended, Terror showed up in Daredevil. Then there was the Terror Inc. series written by D.G. Chichester (same man that wrote most, if not all, of the Shadowline stuff, along with Margaret Clark). According his page over at Marvunapp.com, the editors didn't intend for them to be the same person, but Chichester did, and when he got a profile in the 2005 (2006?) Horror handbook, the writers of his entry officially connected them. So, he still did originate in Shadowline. And the current mini-series...I'm not sure about that. It appears to take place in Earth-616 (don't know why it wouldn't), but it kind of contradicts several Shadowline events, which could either be an attempt at re-writing his origin, or just bad writing (it says that Draghignazzo died in the Middle Ages, yet in Shadowline, that was just another name for Doctor Zero, who didn't die until the modern era, if he even DID die).
MarvUnApp's Terror page, though it doesn't include the latest Terror series.
Then there's the one from League of Losers. I'm not positive WHAT his earth designation would be, but for those issues, I just made his world origin the same as the other heroes, Earth-6215. It's meant as more of a "just so we have something", since it seems unlikely that we'll ever get anything official. But, I'm certainly willing to change that.

GrnMarvl14 02:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Avengers The Initiative #12 Edit

Hey Grn!

I LOVE the stuff you're putting in about #12! I fixed those pages, so if you leave out the colon in the First block, it'll autolink now. (There's no colon in the title, so I figured the page name should be the same name of the Cover). Just as an FYI. ;) --Nathan Elliott (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 01:35, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Savage Hulk vs. Red Hulk Edit

I was wondering if you knew who won between the savage hulk and the red hulk or if it was a draw? The Hulkster 20:28, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Red Hulk. Choked the Savage Hulk out.
--GrnMarvl14 20:31, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Naming Conventions -- Gotcha Edit

Hey, thanks for the message! Yeah I've been a busy little bee with the comic profiles (Just looking around both this and the DC Wiki I found that there aren't many people doing comic summaries) I'm still learning the ropes with the Wiki editing, thanks for the heads up on the formatting for issue summaries, I'll be sure to use it in the future.

Anyway, I got to get cracking on what I was working on, left to my own devices you'll be seeing the first 100 issues of DD up and going once I'm done (Going through my essential volumes alphabetically and putting up what isn't already there.)

Minors Edit

Hey Brad,

I just changed the minor characters over to use the show/hide thing. Will you take a look at some and see if you can find any bugs? I just want to make sure everything works if we're gonna keep it. :)

--Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 02:36, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for checking that out. It turns out that there is one small bug in the way we use it right now. Go to Peter Parker. If you click on Peter Parker of 6215, nothing happens. Matt and I think it's because those blocks are collapsed, so the link can't find that section of the page. He found a workaround and put it in for Peter Parker of 1967. It's linked to the 'minor characters' section of the page instead of the Peter Parker (1967) section. What do you think of that?
There are a few other options we have to fix it, like putting the section header (== This Part ==) outside of the collapsible part, or making the link actually go to the minor character's page instead of the section on Peter Parker where it's reflected.
Minor glitches, since every other link works alright, (like if you click on the 6215 version on Spider-Man instead of on Peter Parker). So just a tweak or two and we'll be home free.
--Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 13:23, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry about time situations, I realize not everyone is on here 24/7, and I even went to bed right after I asked you to look at them anyway. :)
Yea, that's the issue Matt and I are having. I'm now having trouble as to which would be the best temporary fix. I brought it up in the forums to get some opinions, but I may just go with whatever I think is best for now.
--Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 17:08, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Mistake? Edit

Hey again! :)

Did you happen to upload a picture of Cyclops by mistake, or does this just really look like Cyclops, and is really Beast?

--Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 19:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Just really looks like him. All of the Shadow-X members had red glowing eyes (except Iceman). I assume to get the point across that they were evil (only thing that really makes sense. I assume it was part of the costume, though). But that's taken from the very last page he appeared in, as he was dying in Dazzler's arms. I think that may even be the second to last panel. But, yeah, the Cyclops of Earth-6141 had a visor, like normal (easily, the ONLY way to tell the difference between him, Beast, and Angel when just given a faceshot). --GrnMarvl14 23:01, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Cool, thanks for the explaination. Those Shadow X dudes are weird. I say an evil twin should always have a beard, so you can tell the difference between the two. :)
I also figured out a way to include Conversations automatically on the quotes pages. Check out Hellboy's Quotes Page for the example, and let me know what you think on here or in the forums. :)

Guard Award Edit

Hey Brad,

Thanks for keeping up with the changes made by the IP addresses around here. I'm working on getting them turned off again, but it's taking some time. I left you a guard award on your main page for watching these.

Thanks again!

Earth-9105 Edit

Awesome job on this reality, it's so cool! :)

Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 14:48, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

And there are many more characters coming from that reality (that I could clearly identify). If I can ever find New Warriors #13, I can start filling out some real information.
--GrnMarvl14 23:26, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

A little help please Edit

I seem to be having a little trouble with User:GODKING OF ICE CERBERUS WERE-GARURUMON. He keeps adding information to a number of articles that don't seem to fit the mold. For instance, for the Thundra (Earth-715), he keeps adding this: "From a rebellion by some men Thundra lost her right eye, It has been replaced by a techno-organic eye carved from the bodies of some Phalanx and Technarch corpses and coated in a layer of Adimantine/Adimantium/ Vibranium/Antartic Vibranium/Carbon Steel/Diamond mixture, filled with a massive number of self-replicating and self-reparing nanobots that give it adaptive powers for numerous eye-based abilities which includes immunity to hipnotising that requires eye contact, she can also release them from her eye and make them explode, they can also project a force feild more powerful than the force feild of Unus the Untouchable, and the mechanical eyes core is a powerful weapon called the PORTABLE IMPERIAL POWER-HOUSE CANNON when it is activated it looks like a small laser turret attached to Thundras face it is made of Superias power suit and has power equal to 1 million times the strenght of a Cyclops eyebeam that is held for 1 billion hours striaght in one 10 second burst and she has been capable of holding it for 2 hours straight before she even began to show to even the slightest bit of fatigue and weakening from over use and it is powered by Thundras massive amounts of naturaly produced electricity,Its greatest weakeness is that if the cannon is straight for to long it can suck all the electricity from Thundras brain and that can cause her to black out or it can cause her brain damage." He says it's from some Japanese comic that was put out, except nobody seems able to find any record of its publication anywhere on the net. Another problem concerns the Zarda Shelton (Earth-712) profile. He keeps adding a power to the article that I can't find listed anywhere. He keeps insisting that she has the ability to fire beams of energy from her eyes that can be used for destructive purposes or can heal others. He claims that it says it in the Marvel Encyclopedia, which came out in October 2006. However, her latest profile in the OHOTMU came out in an issue in July 2007 and made no mention of any such power. I don't have a copy of the Marvel Encyclopedia but I find it unusual that the power would be omitted from an OHOTMU profile that came out less than a year later. I've tried messaging him about some of this stuff, as have other editors, but it doesn't seem to be getting through to him. I'd appreciate any help or advice you can offer because I really don't wanna get into an edit war over this stuff. Thanks. Jack Hammer 03:21, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, if you'll notice, I was the one to first tackle his changing of the Thundra page and ask him about the change. And I figured the Zarda add was wrong, and even did a rollback of his edit. The other admins are aware of him being an...issue, and I'll make sure they're aware of his latest edits. I'll try to make sure something appropriate's done.
--GrnMarvl14 03:34, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
As the one this evening, he's been blocked for three days. Speak up if you see the same things from him again on Thursday night/Friday morning, the block will be off then. I've got Thundra watched, and I'm removing his info.
Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 04:06, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Sentinels Edit

Thanks for the help on the Sentinels page, I had to undo the changes that Marvel and DC editor undid, and it got a bit hairy. What do you think of the result?

Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 00:41, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I like it. I honestly didn't think I would when I was looking at the recent changes page, but when I actually saw the page...I was really impressed. I like the look of it, and I love that each notable alternate reality counterpart has an easily-recognizable section with imagery. It actually got me to finally add the Sentinel details from the Civil War: House of M series. And anything that makes me feel a need to add info is always good.

Reality Hopping Edit

What's up man,

Did you happen to find what the Earth Designation for Old Man Logan? That one drives me crazy more than most, but it's probably too new. . .

Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 02:07, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

I got the first three volumes today (turns out only 2-5 have the reality numbers, though)...and I don't remember seeing it. Honestly, I think the newest reality I saw was either the Iron Man movie or the one from the early issues of the latest Cable series. But I'll definitely be looking back through them (SO MANY Initiative recruits got real names, and I need to do some updating with some notable realities I found in Volume 2-3). Might want to check that link I posted on the forums, though, as it's a lot more up-to-date, and...at least it's semi-official.
--GrnMarvl14 03:32, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Image tags Edit

Made it a "little" easier on naming images. Was tired of saying "Comic Cover" and "Cover Art" for those pages. I made the template accept Cover for both License and Image Type. ;) Let me know if this helps at all. --M1shawhan 01:00, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Certainly can't hurt. My main problem, as always, is just remembering that I have other/easier options. But I'll likely need to go back and redo some of the images I've templated eventually, and this should make it a tad easier. Really, my main project right now is just refining stuff I've added in. Seems like every time I get things sorted out, we've figured out some brand new template or feature and the work begins again. Ah well, it wouldn't be fun if we were running out of things to do, now would it?
--GrnMarvl14 03:07, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Hardback handbooks Edit

Hey Brad,

Where did you look in these hardbacks for the reality numbers? Are they just in the individual articles for the realities?

Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 04:03, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

They're in the very back. Big ol' list of them in each of them (though in Volume 2 it's half-reality list, half-glossary, continued from Volume 1).
--GrnMarvl14 17:56, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

thanks for the help on that one - can you tell me again where you found that? sounds like a need-to-have sourcebook...--edkaufman 01:05, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Marvel's recently collected the Handbooks from the past few years into hardcover format. Volumes 2-5 contain reality numbers. But they also mention this site for "updates and an unabridged list". It's run by the same guys who do the Handbook/Index (more or less the same guys), but the ones on the linked site should be taken with a grain of salt. But they can largely be believed as being either official or semi-official. At least insofar as the Marvel ones go.

Make your life easier Edit

Hey Brad,

I noticed you were creating a lot of appearance categories, and figured you might like to make your life a little easier. Try using {{subst:Cat}} when creating the category. It should automatically figure out which type of category to insert there. Keep in mind, though, that if the page you're making a category for doesn't exist yet, say like a Universe or a Character that you haven't made yet, it won't work.

Keep up the amazing work! :)

Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 05:04, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Awesome, thanks. Should prevent those random times when my mind disconnects and I put "Character Images" when I mean to put "Character Appearances" or something similar. Also means I only need to remember one thing.
--GrnMarvl14 17:14, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Boomer UpdateEdit

"When X-Force were forcibly transported into the future by Cyclops, the Leper Queen, angry at not being killed by the team, shot Tabitha in the head."

Ah... sonovagun. That's just wrong. She was supposed to marry me you know. Damn it Marvel.--Max 05:17, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Hopefully, X-Force can be returned to the point they left and Elixir can heal her (alright, shot to the head, probably not possible, but between him and a less-angry Angel...who knows?). And we've still got the fate of Surge and Hellion dangling there... X-Force has a sick kill count going.
--GrnMarvl14 18:09, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
I literally JUST read this and felt the same way about Boomer...I mean are some of those older characters not sacred??? I understand the idea that there is an over-crowding of mutants these days, but COME ON!! I think that this will cause a divide in the team against some of Cyclops' decisions though since he zapped them out without saving her. --M1shawhan 23:52, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Yeah. Wolverine certainly wasn't happy. Warpath certainly won't be happy. Domino likely won't be too thrilled. And Vanisher might even be affected. And the OTHER members of the team won't be happy about Surge and Hellion being left (seemingly) to die. Definitely one of the better X-books in terms of not knowing what will happen (X-Factor's trying to beat it, though). And certainly THE book for "anything goes."
--GrnMarvl14 00:44, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Boomer lives!!--Max 18:07, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
But now we have an unnumbered reality where she DOES die.
--GrnMarvl14 19:01, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, this whole series is jumping around too much and I am having trouble following it now. Are they IN a new reality NOW? Or were they in a different reality before this latest issue (making the latest issue Earth-616?!?!?) --M1shawhan 00:15, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
I think, technically, every issue X-Force has been in (minus the Messiah War issues, of course) is Earth-616, but because X-23 came back and prevented Boomer's death, that page or so where she DID die is now an alternate reality. But, honestly, I try not to think about it too hard. You end up having WAY more questions than answers...and you're not even sure if your answers are right.

Youtube VideosEdit

What are the rules about Youtube videos? Do you have to have the creator's permission to use one, or can we just pull whatever we want? I found one for Asbestos Lady of all people, and I put it up, hoping it was "legal". Check it out. It looks cool. Just wanted to make sure before I imported more of thiese things over to the site.--Max 02:32, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

I am, absolutely, the WORST person to ask about what is and isn't legal. The ONLY reason I knew about straight copy/pasting info being a no-no is hearing Jamie's story and another site I visit that has a Wiki having issues with a competing Wiki stealing their info. My guess, though, is that you'd need creator permission if it's not just an episode of some random show.

Green vs. Red Edit

Alright, I want your honest opinion and to take into account all of these two beings strengths and weakness. Who would win betwen The Green Hulk (At his strongest) and The Red Hulk (At his Strongest). I say Green Hulk because his strongest is unknown because the madder he gets the stronget he gets there is no limit to his strength. The Red gets hotter as he gets madder but that just makes him weaker. Again, I want your opinion. Also, who do you think will win these battles...

  • Green Hulk (Smart) vs. Red Hulk
  • The Silver Surfer vs. Terrax The Tamer
  • Doctor Strange vs. Baron Mordo
  • The Sub-Mariner vs. Tiger Shark

Here are my opinions...

  • Green Hulk (Smart)
  • Terrax
  • Doctor Strange
  • The Sub-Mariner
In terms of strength alone, I'd likely agree with you. But Red Hulk gave Green Hulk a run for his money on more than one occasion. And Silver Surfer's always been a tad better than Terrax in terms of utilizing the Power Cosmic.

HULK #10-12 Edit

On The Incredible Hulk and Red Hulk pages can you put down what happened in the Defenders vs. Offenders War? I did but I think you could upgrade what I said. Anyway, I thank you that you think Green Hulk would win in pure strength. If the Grandmaster gave the Green Hulk his cunning brain during his World War Hulk Version instead of Bruce Banner's brain (Bruce Banner could have killed the Red Hulk but was too weak) I think Green Hulk would have won quickly. What do you think? The Hulkster 16:41, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

universe number... again Edit

Alpha Flight Special Images Edit

Hey I noticed the images you pulled from Alpha Flight Special. Which is the exact issue? They are falling into a weird category...
Artful Dodger 02:09, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

This one. Which, oddly enough, does not appear to be a page I've edited, yet...I recall making a page for the issue. Odd stuff.
--GrnMarvl14 02:56, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I changed the images to show up in that issue so they would be categorized correctly. Don't know much about Alpha Flight....
Artful Dodger 12:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
I only know what I've read in Handbooks and the info from the (roughly) dozen issues of their titles I have (plus a VERY small number of appearances elsewhere). But I know most of the characters, or where to find info on them (if we don't have any).

Apocalypse Question Edit

Sorry to bother you after greeting me. I left a question on the discussion page of Apocalypse, when will it be answered? sorry forgot to add my name Flamemonkey7 17:53, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Oops, my bad! Edit

I didn't realize we were working on editing the same book at the same time Dark Avengers. Eetmi 02:38, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

No problem. I just made a few edits to add in a few things after your edit.

Recent edits Edit

Got a question for you. I noticed that when you look at recent edits, there's numbers there that look like this.

11:17 Comics:Squadron Supreme Vol 3 12‎ (diff; hist) . . (+892) . .

What's that +892 thing? Eetmi 16:53, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Number of characters (letters, numbers, punctuation, etc.) added or subtracted. If you look at the edit history for some of the ones with smaller numbers and compare the two most recent edits, you can more easily see the added/subtracted characters, and with the ones that just say (0), you can see where things have been changed, but without adding or taking away any letters or numbers. Don't know how long it took me to figure that out, but "years" is a safe bet.

EvaluationEdit

If you are willing to, could you possibly assess the situation concerning Ralnon and with Stature; the former was infinitely blocked for "intimidation and harassment," but I was wondering if you could possibly try to impartially judge the situation carefully by yourself and determine whether the infinite ban was entirely fair and warranted. Thanks! Masr Keesha 19:19, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Looking at Ralnon's talk page, I can see Stature made the right decision. He was asked to stop taking information, didn't listen, and was blocked for three days. Rather than waiting out the ban or doing what was asked of him before the ban (something we've asked of other users, who promptly complied before a ban needed to occur), he chose to lob insults and profanity, behavior that is COMPLETELY uncalled in ANY situation. We don't take kindly to users copying information from other sites (using them as sources is fine, but out-and-out copy/pasting is another, VERY serious, matter), but we give them the benefit of the doubt and another chance. Insulting admins or ANY user for that matter is even worse. We've only rarely handed out infinite bans. And only do so in extreme cases. This was one of them.

Justicer Bull Edit

thanks for the response. So, if it's misplaced, what is to do? Delete the page? replace it with a redirect? sorry, i'm still a newbie... ;) --edkaufman 10:03, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

cool, thanks. So what happens next? Sorry for asking stupid questions, as i said, i'm still pretty much a newbie and not very wiki-competent...--edkaufman 18:20, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
