Magneto has battled the Ultimate Alliance and the X-Men many times before, and one such battle was recorded and turned into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Simulation "Overload", however he has also been a member of the Ultimate Alliance, and joined them after seeing the chaos that would be caused if Dr. Doom's plans worked. He also fought in the Superhuman Civil War.
