Mary Storm was the wife of star surgeon Franklin Storm and mother to the two future adventurers and members of the Fantastic Four, Susan and Jonathan. On the way to a medical society dinner in her husband's honor, their car suffered a blowout and she was critically injured. Her husband operated on her desperately to save his wife, but she died on the table^[1].
