Synopsis for "The Terror!"

On Halloween, Vision investigates the Leonia town cemetery and discovers the dead rising from their graves. Meanwhile, his wife, Wanda Maximoff (aka the Scarlet Witch) speaks alongside the mayor at a townhall meeting held at the local high school. Many of the residents of Leonia are afraid that the superhuman couple has chosen to move to their small, quiet community, a fear exacerbated when a demon appeared the previous weak and temporarily mutated the town's citizens before it was banished by the Scarlet Witch. A few citizens defend the presence of the superheroes, claiming that their town would still be under the demon's control if it weren't for them. However, the majority of the citizens blame the heroes for the town's supernatural activity and a physical altercation breaks out among the two sides. Amidst the argument, Vision arrives at the meeting warning Wanda of the undead horde, which pursue him into the building. The couple battle the zombies and Vision is harmed when he tries to phase through one of them. When Wanda sees her husband injured, she uses her hex powers to annihilate the horde.

Vision and the Scarlet Witch return to the cemetery, determines to discover the root of the town's supernatural problems. They discover a mystical pillar whose energy signature is similar to the mysterious pit which spawned the demon they earlier defeated. Those who have previously been distrustful of the heroes continue to blame them for the town's woes, going so far as to physically assault Vision and threaten to drive the heroes out of town. As Scarlet Witch gives an impassioned speech declaring their right to live among them, a host if spirits emerge from the pillar and proclaim that they have been drawn to the area by the citizens' fears and prejudices. Scarlet Witch realizes that despite her worries, her powers are not to blame for the town's supernatural activity, and she and Vision use their combined abilities to repel the spirits and destroy the pillar. As the townspeople look on in awe, Vision offers to take a tearful Wanda home. However, she questions where their true home even is.
