This story was clearly inspired by the events of Fantastic Four #130. Both comics begin with the Frightful Four beating the Fantastic Four and each of them end with the Fantastic Four finding a way to defeat their opponents. The key difference between the two stories deals with Franklin Richards. He is the reason the Fantastic Four are able to achieve final victory in the original story, as the toddler uses his powers to wake up Benjamin Grimm. However, he plays no part at all in the Marvel Adventures tale. The second major change between the two comics deals with their respective conclusions: The original story ends with the separation of Susan Storm and Reed Richards, while here we see the Wizard getting lost in the Negative Zone.
