History

Tarot was a member of the original Hellions, of French origin. Unlike some of the more mean-spirited Hellions (namely Empath, Jetstream and Roulette (Jennifer Stavros)), Tarot was generally a sweet and sympathetic character. In her earlier appearances, it was revealed by Mirage's psychic abilities that Tarot was in fact in love with one of the New Mutants, probably Cypher or Sunspot.

She was ostensibly killed by Sentinels under the command of Trevor Fitzroy. She reappeared later as a member of the second Hellions team. It appears her resurrection and life force is somehow bound to King Bedlam, though this was never fully explained.

She recently lost her mutant powers[1], along with King Bedlam. Apparently since King Bedlam's powers kept her alive, when he lost his powers, she died because of this. However, her death was appareantly short-lived as she, along with all other deceased Hellions, have been resurrected by Selene and Eli Bard with the Transmode virus.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Psionic-Dimensional Image Materialization: ability to transform two-dimensional images into three-dimensional, tangible objects under her control. She learned to manifest certain characteristics of the tarot cards on herself, such as weapons and armour, increasing her effectiveness in combat.

Psychometric Precognition: possessed a fair degree of precognitive ability, though it seemed that it was apparently dependent on the use of tarot cards.

Abilities

Highly skilled in divining through the reading of tarot cards.
