The past history of Doc Samson on Earth-9997 presumably matches that of his Earth-616 counterpart. In recent times, Doc Samson became the psychiatrist of Benjamin Beckley, the Skull. He was killed when the Skull used his powers of persuasion to force Samson to rip himself inside out. It is stated that Samson got halfway through before he died, and the Skull "thought it was funny".
