History

Le Bull was a French soldier who became loyal to the Nazis following the occupation of France. In the summer of 1942, he and some of his fellow Nazi sympathizers were ordered to smuggle themselves into the United States in order to steal Professor Clement Mott's Cosmic Depressor device for the Nazis. Upon their arrival in Murky Swamp near the professor's home, Le Bull and his men briefly clashed with Captain America who was searching for his sidekick Bucky who was lost in the quicksand surrounding the area.

Le Bull and his men managed to escape from Cap and find the location of the Professor's home. Breaking in, they demanded that the Professor turn over his device. However, by this time, the Professor had completely snapped and resolved to save the human race from itself and end the war by using his Cosmic Depressor to wipe out the entire planet Earth. Trapping Le Bull in his men in an electrical field, he forced them to wait until the world was destroyed by his device. Soon, Captain America was also captured. As the zero hour approached, Bucky (alive and well) burst in and attempted to shut down the device; however, he mistakenly freed Le Bull instead. Fighting off Le Bull, he knocked the Nazi operative into the switch that controlled the Cosmic Depressor, shutting it down and freeing Captain America in the process. Chasing back out into the swamp, Le Bull had the unfortunate luck of getting caught in the quicksand and sinking to the bottom.[1]

Notes

Le Bull is not French for The Bull. The correct translation should be Le Taureau.
