The Korbinites once inhabited a peaceful empire of planets, most of which was destroyed in a galactic cataclysm caused by Surtur. The Korbinites now live in a fleet of starships as they search for a new home planet. Their guardian is Beta Ray Bill, who can magically transform from his normal body into a superhumanoid cyborg body bioengineered from that of a carnivorous beast.
