History

When Legion, the mentally unbalanced mutant son of Professor Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller, travelled back in time in an attempt to kill Magneto, he accidently killed Xavier instead, creating a splinter universe known as the Age of Apocalypse. In that reality, mutants became the dominant species of the planet. Apocalypse rose to power enslaved humanity.

Kevin Sydney was a mutant shapeshifter and a member of the X-Men. His baseline appearance was a humanoid with a white, nearly featureless face. He was insanely humorous, even in the face of danger, and could never keep from annoying his team-mates, especially Sabretooth. He took part in many dangerous missions, including the attack on Apocalypse's moon base and fighting Holocaust. He also took part in the final assault on Apocalypse's stronghold.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Morph has the ability to alter his size wight, texture, and physical appearance. Unlike other shape shifters like Mystique, he has seemingly no limits to his transformations, able to take forms as big as a Sperm Whale. He also acquires strength and speed in proportion to his size. He cannot mimic abilities that are not physical. He can also mimic inanimate objects, such as a large brick or a wall. The change seems to happen instantly.

Early dialogue mentioned his former appearance and name, confirming his connection between Morph and Changeling that fans of the X-Men: The Animated Series had suspected.

  • The Exiles' Morph is closest in looks and personality to the Age of Apocalypse version, though his history, team affiliation, and costume are different.
